Happy Halloween From Mrs. Butterworth’s® Syrup – One of America’s Most Beloved Spokespersons

MOUNTAIN LAKES, NJ (October 2010) - Mrs. Butterworth’s enjoys making your family smile and has been busy creating fun ways to kick start Halloween morning.  These adorable ideas, created in cooperation with her pal, celebrity chef Kevin Roberts will make your mouth water. Kevin, also known as the “The Food Dude,” is author of Munchies and Kissing in the Kitchen, media personality, executive chef and owner of three successful restaurants.

Mrs. Butterworth’s, the thick, rich and buttery syrup continues to brighten-up breakfast tables for generations.  So just when you think “breakfast got boring,” try these fun and fresh ideas that might just become your favorite Halloween treat!

Mrs. Butterworth’s Halloween Ideas

Pumpkin Pancake
1.     1 medium-large pancake.

2.     Add orange food coloring or orange icing to  a dairy free whipped topping ( like Cool Whip)

3. Cut a gumdrop in half and place both halves side by side (sticky side down) off the top part of the pancake to make the stem

4. Add candy corns for the eyes

5. Cut a gumdrop in half and place one half sticky side down for the nose

6. Add chocolate chips for the mouth

7. Pour Mrs. Butterworth’s syrup on top of pancake.

Pumpkin Mustache Man Pancake
1. 1 medium-large pancake

2.  Add orange food coloring or orange icing to a dairy free whipped topping (like Cool Whip)

3. Cut a gumdrop in half and place both halves side by side (sticky side down) off the top part of the pancake to make the stem

4. Cut bottoms off of two white gumdrops and add an M&M on the sticky side for the eyes

5. Place chocolate chips above the eyes for the eyebrows

6. Use a candy corn for the nose

7. Cut up pieces of black licorice for the mustache

8. Place a red hard candy below the black licorice mustache for the mouth

9. Pour Mrs. Butterworth’s® syrup over pancake

Halloween Cat Pancake
1.  1 medium-large pancake

2. Spread peanut butter over the top of pancake

3. Place two candy corns side by side and place two sets on the top corners of pancake to make cat ears

4. Place two candy corns at an angle (bottoms both facing in) and place a chocolate chip on top of the candy corns (larger ends) for the eyes

5. Cut a red gumdrop in half and use top piece for the nose. Place sticky side down

6. Slice up pieces of black licorice for the whiskers and place around the red gumdrop nose

7. Cut the top parts off two candy corns (white pieces) and use as the teeth

8. Pour Mrs. Butterworth’s® syrup over pancake.
