Vlasic Stork Nominated for 2010 Madison Avenue Advertising Walk of Fame

MOUNTAIN LAKES, NJ (September 9, 2010)—Vlasic® Pickles is pleased to announce that the Vlasic Stork has been nominated for the Madison Avenue Advertising Walk of Fame. The 36 year-old Vlasic Stork has been nominated as one of America’s favorite icons each year since the inception of the Advertising Walk of Fame in 2004, and now is the time when Vlasic Pickle-lovers everywhere can step forward and secure the Stork as America’s Favorite Advertising Icon.

“The Vlasic Stork has had an incredible year,” said Eric Hintz, VP of Marketing. “He revealed a svelte new three dimensional look, became the star of a new multi-platform ad campaign, launched a new microsite and is delivering a new tagline: Taste What a Vlasic Can Do. America’s favorite advertising icons and slogans will go head to head to be nominated into The Madison Avenue Advertising Walk of Fame during Advertising Week 2010 in New York City the week of September 27th. Inductees are voted on by the general public in the weeks leading up to Advertising Week and supporters can cast their votes for the Vlasic Stork to be named America’s Favorite Advertising Icon through Friday, September 24th at 6:00 p.m. EST by visiting www.advertisingweek.com/WOF, selecting the Vlasic Stork thumbnail and clicking “vote now.” The winners will be inducted into the Walk of Fame during the Advertising Week opening Gala on Monday, September 27th and will gain a permanent position on the advertising industry’s version of Hollywood and Vine, Madison Avenue (between 42nd and 50th Streets).
