On May 22, 2001, Pinnacle acquired the North American business
of Vlasic Foods International Inc. (VFI). The North American
business consisted of Hungry-Man and Swanson frozen dinners,
Vlasic pickles, peppers and relish and Open Pit barbecue
sauce.
On November 25, 2003, J.P. Morgan Partners, LLC, J.W. Childs
Associates, L.P. and CDM Investor Group LLC, together with
certain of their affiliates, acquired our company.
In March 2004, Pinnacle was merged with and into Aurora Foods
Inc., and the surviving company was renamed Pinnacle Foods Group LLC. With this merger our portfolio of well-known brands
expanded to include: Duncan Hines baking products, Aunt Jemima
frozen breakfast products, Log Cabin and Mrs. Butterworths
syrups, Van de Kamps and Mrs. Pauls frozen seafood, Lenders
bagels and Celeste pizza
Expansion continued when on March 1, 2006, Pinnacle acquired
the food products business (the "Armour Business") of The Dial
Corporation. With this acquisition, Pinnacle added the Armour
canned meat line which includes Vienna sausage, potted meat,
sliced beef, meat spreads, chili, luncheon meat, beef stew,
and corned and roast beef hash.
The latest chapter in our corporate history was written
recently. On February 12, 2007, Pinnacle Foods Group LLC.s
parent, Crunch Holding Corp., agreed to be acquired by
affiliates of The Blackstone Group. We are optimistic about
our future growth as a company of great brands. |
