Pinnacle Foods Group LLC is a company of brands – Brands you know... Brands you love.

Our Mission is to make our brands an increasingly important part of consumers’ everyday lives so we build sustainable value.

On May 22, 2001, Pinnacle acquired the North American business of Vlasic Foods International Inc. (“VFI”). The North American business consisted of Hungry-Man and Swanson frozen dinners, Vlasic pickles, peppers and relish and Open Pit barbecue sauce.

On November 25, 2003, J.P. Morgan Partners, LLC, J.W. Childs Associates, L.P. and CDM Investor Group LLC, together with certain of their affiliates, acquired our company.

In March 2004, Pinnacle was merged with and into Aurora Foods Inc., and the surviving company was renamed Pinnacle Foods Group LLC. With this merger our portfolio of well-known brands expanded to include: Duncan Hines baking products, Aunt Jemima frozen breakfast products, Log Cabin and Mrs. Butterworth’s syrups, Van de Kamp’s and Mrs. Paul’s frozen seafood, Lender’s bagels and Celeste pizza

Expansion continued when on March 1, 2006, Pinnacle acquired the food products business (the "Armour Business") of The Dial Corporation. With this acquisition, Pinnacle added the Armour canned meat line which includes Vienna sausage, potted meat, sliced beef, meat spreads, chili, luncheon meat, beef stew, and corned and roast beef hash.

The latest chapter in our corporate history was written recently. On February 12, 2007, Pinnacle Foods Group LLC’s parent, Crunch Holding Corp., agreed to be acquired by affiliates of The Blackstone Group. We are optimistic about our future growth as a company of great brands.
